Walden III (W:III) is an academic experiment that will explore whether Virtual Worlds, specifically Second Life, can facilitate the exchange of cultural artifacts (those ideas and representations of culture that we exchange, in thiscase specifically music) more harmoniously and equitably than "first life" exchange. Primarily speaking, W:III is a study of virtual worlds and their ability to function as a means for cross-cultural interaction.
